We will  have free orchid & rose classes August 9th (Saturday).7

11:00 AM - Mounting Orchids.  During the class, prepare and mount a plant and take it home with you.  If you have a nice piece of wood or a plant that you would like to work with, bring them, if not, you can use ours.  We will also cover some general orchid care.

1:00 PM - Rose Care & Propagation.  How to prune now for fall bloom.  Pick the right rose for the right place in your garden.  Bring pruning shears if you have them.  

The Austin Rose Society meets at 7pm the third Tuesday each month, except December and February, at Zilker Botanical Center. 

The local orchid society, Heart of Texas Orchid Society,  meets the first Tuesday of each month at 7:30pm at Zilker Botanical Center.  Go to www.hotos.org for more information.
